Dr. Maren Ingrid Kropfeld is a consultant for sustainability strategies at sustainable AG, where she specializes in developing and implementing sustainability strategies for businesses. She completed her doctorate in ecological economics on the topic of “Sufficiency-oriented Business Models and Sustainable Consumer Practices” at the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg (Germany). In her dissertation, she approached the question of how business models change with a focus on sufficiency and how this can support consumers to live more sustainably. She held a PhD scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation and worked as a freelance lecturer at Karlshochschule International University in Karlsruhe, in International Meter & Acquisitions for Bosch Energy and Solutions, and as a research and teaching officer at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. Her research focuses on sufficiency-oriented business models and consumer practices.
